A committee is recommending the name be North Star, Ruth Reid or Florence Drake Elementary.
Reid and Drake are local historical figures.
North Star fits the northern location of the school at the intersection of O.B. Riley and Cooley roads.
The most popular name from the public, Arlie Seems Elementary, was rejected.
Seems taught in the district for more than 30 years.
