An update to a story we brought you yesterday… a transient who jumped into a Bend irrigation canal during a police chase is not hurt.
Mitchell Harpole and two other transients leaped into the canal Monday in an apparent attempt to get away from Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies.
Investigators found two of the transients later on Monday and located Harpole yesterday.
None of the three were arrested, nor do they face any charges.
