The man who police say murdered a Bend woman wrote a suicide note before he killed himself.
Bryan Penner hanged himself in the Deschutes County Jail after he was arrested in connection with the death of Sara Gomez.
In the note, Penner denies killing Gomez and claims they had rekindled their relationship, despite the fact that Gomez obtained a restraining order against him.
The Deschutes County District Attorney has now officially declared that Penner’s death was indeed suicide.
