Future Redmond Christmas Tree accidentally cut down

A tree removal company accidentally cut down a spruce tree that was supposed to become Redmond’s Christmas tree.

The 40-foot blue spruce was about 40-years-old.

It was standing across from Redmond City Hall in part of the planned expansion of Centennial Park.

The Bulletin reports the city is suing Fagen Tree & Chips.

The company says an employee got his paperwork mixed up and cut down the wrong tree.

This isn’t the first time Fagen has felled a tree by mistake… it also happened in 2014.
