Thanks to forward progress being stopped on the Coyner Fire north of Redmond, all Level 3 (Go Now) evacuation notices have been reduced to Level 1 (Be Ready).
The Sheriff’s Office encourages residents in the area to remain prepared should conditions change, and be aware of fire crews and vehicles. The Coyner Fire remains at 20.5 acres, with 20% containment.
Firefighters worked through the night of July 5 to secure the fire perimeter and address flare-ups from unburned fuels. Today, crews continued mop-up operations around the fire perimeter and structures to ensure that containment lines held.
