A Bend woman who police say lied to them about being assaulted and robbed won’t face charges.
District Attorney John Hummel decided not to charge Debra Connors with a crime.
Police say Connors told her daughter someone tossed a stuffed animal in front of her car, making her believe she hit a real animal.
They say she told them that when she got out to investigate, she was assaulted and robbed by people in a black van.
Hummel says it was all a lie, but it doesn’t warrant charges.
