A Bend man is in jail… police say he started a fire near the Lava Lands Visitor Center.
The blaze burned around a quarter-acre yesterday.
Police tracked Benjamin Osborn down and first took him to the hospital for concerns about drug use, before taking him to jail.
The sex offender faces several charges and is also wanted in California.
